During this talk, journalist Mohammad Kafina and BIPOC Community (Black, Indigenous, People of Colour) will host a conversation about the power of media in promoting stereotypes. The DigiTalks will be a safe space where we can talk openly with each other about this topic without judging each other.
Mohammad Kafina is a journalist and specialized in Middle Easteren and North African studies. Mohammad worked for several media outlets and websites in Syria, UAE and the Netherlands. He has been guest at several Arab, British and Dutch TV channels to give insights about media, politics and human rights.
The BIPOC Community Utrecht is a collective in Utrecht that would like to provide a safer space for people who identify as BIPoC (Black, Indigenous, People of Colour). They hope to create a space together where they can empower each other and heal collectively. (Instagram: @bipoc.ommunity_utrecht)
